He is survived by: his children, William "Bill" Gavett (Jessica), Jennifer Gavett and Molly Gavett; his grandsons, Henry and Daniel; his siblings, Vicki Universal (Ted), Charles "Skip" Gavett (Jane), Sally Alvarez, Nancy Gavett-Gay (James) and Ben Gavett (Jennifer); his brother-in-law Lindly Howes; and his nephew Alex Alvarez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
