She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Emil Filkorn; her sons, Herbert (Nicole), Walter (Wendy) and Emil Filkorn (Kitty); her grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah McCarthy (Jason), Christopher, Madison, Jack, Erik Filkorn, Jonathan and Brooke Caryk; her great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Zachary, Robin Filkorn and Theo McCarthy; and her sister Renata Jahn (late Rolf).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home (13228 Broadway, Alden, NY 14004). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Peter & Paul RC Church (66 E Main St, Hamburg, NY 14075).
