He was predeceased by: his daughter Dawn Simano (Tom); his great grandchild Violet; his parents, William Hammer and Henrietta Hammer; and his siblings, Billy, Joyce, Esther and Marie Hammer.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Hammer; his children, Toni Kapanek (late Billy), Bob Hammer Jr. (Peggy), Lisa Calkins (Chris Pacyga), Marc Calkins and Scott Calkins (Amme); his grandchildren, Alexis (Justin), Billy, Kyle (Marissa), Bobby (Amanda), Adam, Vanessa, Scott (Jessica), Corey, Tyler, Ashley, Ava, Matt (Nikki), Thomas (Rachel), Sean (Heather) and Alex; and his great grandchildren, Lola, Olivia, Travis, Brooklyn, Lily, Madelyn, Charlotte, Elijah, Zoe, Jaxson, Kennedy, Knox and Cameron. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lombardo Funeral Home (Southtowns Chapel) (3060 Abbott Rd, Orchard Park, NY 14127). A prayer was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert's memory may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
