Robert J. Batt Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert J. Batt (Hamburg, New York), who passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Antoinette M. Batt (Travis); his children, Robert, Cynthia Niedermeier (Otto) and Edward (Niki); and his grandchildren, Ryan, Courtney, Dylan, Nathan, Tori and Jordan.

Joseph's vow after surviving a storm at sea in 1836 led to the chapel's establishment, and upon settling in Cheektowaga in 1837, he fulfilled his promise by donating land in 1851.
