He was predeceased by: his son John H. West; and his parents, Earl and Hazel. He is survived by: his close friend Joyce West; his children, Sherryl Schenfield, Reed Scott Schenfield (Joyce), Stephen Schenfield and Judith G. West; his grandchildren, Garrett Schenfield, Amanda Schenfield, Anthony Fonseca and Nicholas Fonseca; his great grandchildren, Jeyzenia, Miaeli, Arabella, Alena, Angelina, Bubba and Azelea; and his brother Reed Schenfield (Carol).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kent's honor may be made to Erie County SPCA.
