He was predeceased by: his wife Eileen M. Nikiel; and his son David Nikiel. He is survived by: his children, Nancy Rogers (late Thomas) and Thomas Nikiel (Maureen). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters; also survived by nieces and nephews.
