He is survived by: his wife Madeline Leitten; his sons, John H. Jr., Charles (Deborah) and Steven Leitten (Heather); his grandchildren, Alexander, Emily, Amanda and Marisa Leitten; and his sisters, Rose Beering (Fred) and Lynda Eames (Mike). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
