He was predeceased by: his father Ronald Kaska. He is survived by: his children, Ryan, Sarah and Kane Kaska; his mother Rosemary Kaska; and his siblings, Michael Kaska (Sandy), Kathy Ortiz (Tim Stotz) and John Kaska (Evette). He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the John J Kaczor Funeral Home, Inc. (5453 Southwestern Blvd, Hamburg, NY 14075). A Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Teresa's Church (1974 Seneca St, Buffalo, NY 14210).

Jim was a heart transplant recipient, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Connect Life.
