He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Klinger and Stella Klinger (Broughton); his sons, James Klinger (Kathy) and Phillip Klinger (late Terri); and his siblings, Brian, Richard, David, Bill Klinger and JoAnn McClintoc.

He is survived by: his siblings, Gerry Hanlin (Francis) and Warren Klinger. He is also survived by three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Lions Club of Hamburg, Charity Fund.
