He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Monroe and Catherine Monroe; and his sister Carol Yacobucci (Paul). He is survived by: his son Jason Monroe (Johanna); his sister Nancy McLeod (Bob); his former wife Edith Malpica (Michael); his pets, Bear, Honey, Strawberry, Grizzly, Cherry, Kodiak and Scar; and also, Lemmy, Edgar and Azaelea. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in James's honor may be made to SPCA of Erie County.
