He was predeceased by: his mother Carmen "Julie" Rivera (Martinez). He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Rivera (Penn); his children, Lilyana Rivera and Sarah Newell; his father Miguel Rivera; and his siblings, Minerva Stefanski (Dave), Miguel Jr., Luis (Patty), Jose Rivera, Sylvia Acosta (Dave), Adrian, Efrain, Edwin (Julie), Natalie and David Rivera (Diana). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
