He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Benz; his son Robert Benz; and his brother Raymond (Evelyn Benz). He is survived by: his son Edward; his grandsons, Robert Jr. and William Benz; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Lucas and Aubrey Benz; and his siblings, Dorothy Perl (late Bernard), Clarence (Gerald Benz), Alice Graffeo (Richard) and Lee (Norbert Benz). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
