He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Whitney; his children, Mary Ruth Whitney, Gordon Whitney (Paula), Glen Whitney (Christina), Harvey Whitney (Erin), Jamie Sue Schuler (Daniel), James Burnette (Sheila) and Kimberly Rose Whitney; and his sisters, Betty Bennett and Beatrice Lindsey (late Clyde). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
