She was predeceased by: her husband John G. "Jack" Matchett, Jr.; her son John J. Matchett; her parents, Miriam R. Shields Pickering and Stuart L. Shields; and her siblings, Martha Sinclair and Louis L. Shields (Carolyn).

She is survived by: her daughter Donna R. Kobiolka (Michael); and her grandchildren, John G. Matchett, Michael L. Kobiolka, III and Amanda R. Kobiolka. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
