He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Bernard and Helen Bernard; and his brother Vincent Bernard (Carol Jean). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bernard; his children, Laura Sherman (Steve) and Christopher Bernard; his grandchildren, Eric Bernard, Mary, Amy and Guy Sherman; and his sister Maria Lanham (late Jerry).
