It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas H. Moffat D. of Hamburg, New York, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Douglas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sharon L. Moffat; his children, Renee Horne (Carl), Dara Pickard (Joel) and J. Dax Moffat (Julie); his grandchildren, Chelsea Makuch (Caleb), Aiden Pickard and Sierra Pickard; his great grandchild Maddie Makuch; and his sibling Thomas Moffat (Marcia).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Douglas' name to All Saints Lutheran Church, Hamburg, NY.
