He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Flanagan and Eileen Flanagan; and his siblings, Colleen Flanagan, Timothy Flanagan (Rosemary), James Flanagan (Nancy) and Ciaran Flanagan.

He is survived by: his siblings, Kathleen Ballard, Patricia Pienta (Daryl), Kevin Flanagan (Bridget), Brendan Flanagan, Maureen Schichtel (John), Margaret Reagan (Jeffrey) and Denis Flanagan; and his aunt Kathleen Kerlin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
