He was predeceased by: his wife Frances E. Dias; and his daughter Joanne Dias. He is survived by: his sons, Charles (Deborah), David (Deborah) and Daniel (Kim); and his siblings, Isolina Almeida, Tercio Dias (Rosa) and Odette Tome (Eduardo). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, brothers and a sister; also survived by nieces and nephews.
