He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Bernard and Joyce Craner Chard; his stepmother Frances Santspree-Hinds Bernard; and his brother William Hinds. He is survived by: his sons, R. Jason Bernard and Adam M. Bernard; his grandchildren, Sean M. Bernard and Jaxon Sive; and his former wife Colleen Dorn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
