She was predeceased by: her mother Evelyn Denner Smithie; and her brother Peter Smithie. She is survived by: her father Wilborne Smithie of Ft. Pierce, FL; her husband William H. Whalen, III; her children, Billy Whalen, IV (Rachael) and Sara White (Gabe); her grandchildren, Ian, Veda, Billy and Ryan; and her brother Steven Smithie. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
