He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard J. Bernard and Rose Bernard (Inge). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Bernard (Rice); his son Michael Bernard; and his sister Joan Benton (Bud). He is also survived by several cousins, a niece, and nephews.
