It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward L Abbott of Halfmoon, New York, born in Cohoes, New York, who passed away on November 6, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Abbott and Yvonne Abbott (Lessard); his wife Shirley; and his siblings, Hilda Fitzgerald, Arthur, Harold, Richard and Floyd Abbott.
He is survived by: his children, Cassandra Brady (Walt), Edward M. Abbott, Thomas L. Abbott (Mary), Patrick J. Abbott (Diane) and Martin D. Abbott (Judith); his grandchildren, Meghan Loring (Tom), Colin Abbott (Devon), Darren, Ellen, Luke, Nora and Colden; and his great grandchildren, Molly, Josie, Lyle, Evelyn and Neil. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choosing.
