We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2024, at the age of 88, Robert Maiaro of Hague, New York, born in Yonkers, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Giacomo Maiaro and Lucy Sparno; his siblings, Josephine Mooney (John), Richard Maiaro (Licia) and Dennis Maiaro (Julia); his son Michael Maiaro; and his stepson Wayne Porter.
He is survived by: his former wife Kathleen Medlar; his children, Kathy Rego (Martin), Maryann Hamel (David), James Maiaro (Nancy), Michele Baldwin (Greg) and Arlene Toscano (Pepe); his grandchildren, James Rego, Dina Rego (Dan Traverso), Rachel Rego, Benjamin Hamel, Rebecca Hamel (Blaine Stubstad), Michael, Charles Baldwin, Luis and Anna Toscano; his great grandchildren, Archer, Ember Stubstad, Daisy Hamel and William Traverso; his wife Marge Porter Maiaro; his stepchildren, Rob Porter (Jamiee) and Cindy Scranton (Jim); his stepgrandchildren, Krystal Porter (Josh Jacquish), Brandon, Cole, Wriley Porter, Shayne Arroyo, Lance Porter, Chase Porter (Morgan), Jordan and Jacob; and his grandchildren, Jenna Jacquish, Vivian, Caleb, Darby Porter and Charlotte Arroyo.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Calendar Hawthorne Funeral Home (21 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Lake George Land Conservancy, designated for Peggy's Point in Hague, NY.
