He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Karpinski and Victoria Karpinski; his son Brian Karpinski; his siblings, Florence I. Karpinski, Andrew M. Karpinski, Charlotte Campbell, Anna Ferrante and Florence Karpinski; and his nephew Alan Ferrante.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Franco Karpinski; his son Steven Karpinski; his sister-in-law Anne Gagnon; his nieces, Alice Scott (Paul) and Wendy Sully (Tim); and his nephew Ronald D. Gagnon (Beth). He is also survived by 6 great-nieces and great-nephews.
