He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. Messersmith and Lois Coppage Messersmith. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Gray Messersmith; his children, Karen Messersmith, Daniel Messersmith (Hope) and Amy Messersmith; his granddaughter Julia; his brothers, Robert (Christine), Richard (Elizabeth), Roger and Randy Messersmith (Denise); his sister-in-law Kathy Messersmith; and his nephew Ryan Messersmith. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
