He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil W Pahl Sr. and Gladys Van Patten-Pahl; his wife Diana Renus-Pahl; his siblings, Roy Pahl and Leah Ormsby; and his grandson Carl Pahl.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Pahl (Patrice), Robert Pahl (Barbara) and Mary Elizabeth (Gary); his grandchildren, Kurt Pahl (Rebecca), Katherine Yanczewski (Mike), Michelle VanPatten Nicholas Miller (Kyle), Chandler Miller, Dominick Masters, Tristan Masters and Steven Masters; his great grandchildren, Jacob Silva, Rachel Pahl, Peyton Silva and Olivia VanPatten; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Renus (Eleanor) and Richard Renus (Vivian).
