Sornberger of Altamont, NY.. He is survived by: his wife Tara VanPatten; his sons, Jack T. and Spencer S. VanPatten; his siblings, Linda Sornberger of Altamont, Jan VanPatten (Gail) of Duanesburg, Chris VanPatten (Carlene) of Princetown and Lisa Clark (Patrick) of Delanson; his sister-in-law Jill VanPatten of Guilderland; his aunt Hannah Ivers of Jamestown, NC; his parents-in-law, Jude Wilcox (Harold Oppelt) of Rotterdam, NY and Daniel Taylor of Rotterdam; and his brother-in-law Shane Taylor of Schenectady, NY.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in Jay's honor to the Regional Food Bank or an organization supporting United States Veterans.
