We are sad to announce that on March 23, 2018, at the age of 88, Donald R. Provost (Guilderland, New York), born in Plattsburgh, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Edgar Provost; his siblings, Lee Provost (Pauline), Elmer Provost (Grace), Roy "Nippy" Provost, Edward "Dubby" Provost, Geraldine Martineau (Alfred) and Inez Pelkey (Ray); his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Daniels and Clarence Garney (Marion); and his stepfather Dennis "Denny" Finnel.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his parent Lucy Maurice Provost; his children, Donald A. Provost (Marie) of Guilderland, Shirley Valletta (John) of Guilderland and Michael Provost (Cheryl) of Rotterdam; his grandchildren, Tammy Provost (Eric Taber), Jeffrey Valletta (Alycia Smith), Nicole Funk (Tom), Douglas Provost (Jennifer Reedy), Max Provost and Zachary Provost; his great grandchildren, Ryan Provost, Anthony Merrill, Evan Merrill, Kristin Smith, Jaden Smith, Wade Funk and Taylor Funk; his siblings, Arnold "Petty" Provost (Pauline) of West Chazy and Mark "Spud" Finnell (Jeannie) of Cadyville; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Provost, Elizabeth Provost (Betty) and Francis "Sonny" Garney (late Grace); and his friend Capian Kelley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donald's memory to the Albany Medical Children's Hospital, American Cancer Society, Animal Protective Foundations, Steve Caporizzo's Pet Connection, or the Guilderland Animal Shelter.
