He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Silberman (George) and Edith Pankin Silberman. He is survived by: his wife June Forman; his children, Peter Silberman (Jen Kagan) of Ithaca and Ellen Shapiro-Smith (Ricky Johansson) of Lowell, Mass.; his grandson Gabriel Shapiro of Lowell, Mass.; and his brother Allen Silberman (Marjorie Waxman) of Philadelphia. He is also survived by several cousins, and several nieces and nephews.
