She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Ditzell and Mildred Edwards Ditzell; her husband Wilmer "Merle" Ploss; and her brother Leon Ditzell. She is survived by: her brother Leather Factory; her children, Sharon Newton of Groton, Deborah Cochran (Dana) of Ithaca, Eugene Ploss (Roxanne) of Groton and Raymond Ploss (Kammy) of Cortland; her grandchildren, Timothy, James, Kimberly and Katrina Newton; and her siblings, June Morrison, Robert, Marion and Dorothy Ditzell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
