He was predeceased by: his parents, John Orak and Anna Tomas Orak; and his siblings, Anka Anna, Susan Tkach, Rose Marie Crespo, Andrew and Edward Orak.
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Gantman Orak; his children, Denise O'Rourke and John B. Orak; his sister Mary Petyo; and his sister-in-law Irene Orak. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and 3 nieces and 4 nephews.
