We bid farewell to John Arthur MacLean of Groton, New York, born in Cherry Creek, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 21, 2024 at the age of 85. John Arthur touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ruth Congdon MacLean Harley and Edgar MacLean; his siblings, Mary Davis, Frank Harley and Susan Yost; and his grandson Isaiah Heieren.

He is survived by : his wife Jo-Ann Newton MacLean; his children, Lisa, Brenda Heieren (Jamie), Sara Atchina (Delsi) and Robert MacLean (Mirriam); and his grandchildren, Isabella Atchina, Rachelle Atchina, Tabatha Heieren, John Heieren and Moriah MacLean. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Groton Bible Church (858 Cobb St, Groton, NY 13073). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the West Groton Cemetery (147 Durfee Rd, Groton, NY 13073). A reception was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the West Groton Bible Church (858 Cobb St, Groton, NY 13073).

Due to the family's allergies, they are requesting that NO flowers be given. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in John's name to one of the following organizations that he cared about; Ithaca Camp of the Gideons International (http://www.gideons.org), Samaritan's Purse (http://www.samaritanspurse.org) or the West Groton Bible Church.
