It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Bacon of Groton, New York, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on September 5, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alfred C. Bacon and Mary; his adoptive mother Eva Mae Sovocool Bacon; his children, Jodi Bierwiler Of (Dustan) of Georgia, David E. Bacon Jr. (Donna Bradshaw) of Georgia and Don Bacon (Wendy) of Georgia; his half-sister Connie Kone of St. Petersburg, Florida.; his wife Mary Golley Bacon; and his siblings, Jack, Leonard Savage, Michael Bacon and Irene Thompson. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to the church or to the Cortland country music park in David's name.
