He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold J. Sr. Underwood and Patricia McDougall Underwood; and his son Jay A. Underwood. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Ziska Underwood; his daughter Melissa J. Underwood (Kenneth Chamberlain) of Mt. Juliet; and his siblings, Dennis Underwood (Terri) of McGraw, James Underwood (Debbie) of Groton, Sharon Williams of Of Afton, NY and Lisa Storie (Robert) of Marathon, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
