He was predeceased by: his parents, James Putnam and Thelma Putnam (Rowley); and his sister Sandy Coykendall. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Putnam; his children, Michael Putnam (Bonnie) of Hornell, James Putnam of Ithaca and Jeanne Higgins (Dean) of Honeoye; his grandchildren, Ava and Owen Higgins; and his siblings, Norma Trautner of Lindley and Dennis Putnam (LeAnne) of Cameron. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ron's name may be made to either the Greenwood Fire Department, Andover St. Greenwood, N.Y. 14839, Alfred State College or to a charity of the donor's choice.
