He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Giampietro and Mary Giampietro. He is survived by: his daughters, Maria (John Gendwila) and Paula (Wayne Russo); and his grandchildren, Joseph Paul and Alexa Dorelle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and "sisters and brothers" from his wife.
