With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathleen Koopman of Greenwood Lake, New York, born in Staten Island, New York, who passed away on January 11, 2021. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kathleen Koopman to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jay Koopman; her parents, James McGarry and Marcella McGarry; her parents-in-law, Jack and Kathleen Koopman; and her brothers-in-law, Edward McGahan and Bob Hansen.
She is survived by: her children, John (Lia Koopman), Kathleen (Conor Tully) and Kimberly (Alberto Vazquez); her sister Maureen McGahan; her grandchildren, Sydney, Olivia, Alexa Koopman, Conor, Caroline Tully, John and Peter Vazquez; and her parents-in-law, Stephen, Marge Koopman, Kevin Gribbon, Suzanne Hansen and Marilyn Irwin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Kathleen continued to volunteer at the library after she retired until the pandemic forced her to stop.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Albert Wisner Public Library in Warwick, New York in her memory would be greatly appreciated.
