He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Dorothy Smith (Abare); his brother Jack Smith; and his grandson Camden Depew. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Smith (McKee); his children, Jenna Depew (Matt), Mike Smith Jr. (Cory) and Carrie Hemstead (Christopher); his grandchildren, Allie, Schuyler, Patrick, Finnan, Nola and Tess; his siblings, Margaret "Peggy" Mercier (John) and Patrice Krause; his mother-in-law Mona Martucci; and his in-laws, Tommy McKee, Jill Bishop (Doug), Steven McKee and Brian McKee (Ellen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
