She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Robert K. Ashdown, Jr.; her grandchildren, Lisa Amaya-Price, Darren Amaya, Jesse Ashdown, David Ashdown, Jonathan Ashdown, Austin Van Sloten and Tyler Van Sloten; her children, Carol (Don Amaya) of Southport, NC, Wayne Ashdown (Bonnie) of Greenwich, NY and Beth Manz (Paul) of Toano, VA; her siblings, Wesley Young (Elenore) of Palm Springs, FL., Albert, Warren and Lorraine; and her mothers, Theresa Gnilka Young and Gladys Abrams Young.
