She was predeceased by: her parents, James McCarthy and Mary Gilmour McCarthy; and her siblings, James, Eddie and George.

She is survived by: her husband Edward Barry; her children, Edward Patrick Barry (Bernadette) of Garrison, James Allen Barry (Mary) of Greenville, Sheila Ann Barry-Claffey (Charles) of Cold Spring and Brandon John Barry (Jennifer) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Alexandria, Siobhan, Angela, Charley, Eddie-Joe, Grace, Fallon, Lauren and Cián; her great grandchildren, Beulah, Naomi and Michael; and her brother John McCarthy of Riverhead. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
