He was predeceased by: his parents, George Geldner and Hildegard Saum Geldner; and his nephew Werner Habersack. He is survived by: his wife Ursula Geldner; his children, Michael and Heidi Nicosia (Joseph III); his grandsons, George Geldner (Lily Glucksman), Erich Geldner and Joseph Nicosia IV; and his siblings, Irene Habersack and Gunter Geldner (Inaberg). He is also survived by nephew and nieces.
