He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia "Amy" McGuirk; and his children, Bernadette, Patricia and Bernard McGuirk, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Carol McGuirk; his grandchildren, Brendan and Melanie McGuirk; and his great grandchild Colin McGuirk.
Brian was honored by the American Red Cross for donating 14 gallons of blood.
