It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bernadette Sharkey of Greenville, New York, who passed away at the age of 66, on January 12, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Quackenbush and Dorothea Quackenbush (McTague); her spouse Francis M. "Frank" Sharkey; and her brothers, Edward Quackenbush (Patricia), Joseph Quackenbush and Matthew Quackenbush.
She is survived by: her children, Matthew Sharkey (Morgan Storms), Erin Sharkey, Sarah Lochner (Keith), Daniel Sharkey (Stephanie) and Christopher Sharkey; her grandchildren, Aidan, Gavin, Addison, Christopher and Ryan; and her siblings, William Quackenbush (Kathleen), Michael Quackenbush (Marilyn), Mary Keyes (Donald), Daniel Quackenbush, Judith Riescher (Thomas) and Mark Quackenbush (LuAnn). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the A. J. Cunningham Funeral Home (4898 NY-81, Greenville, NY 12083). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (4987 NY-81, Greenville, NY 12083). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Greenville Cemetery (11266 NY-32, Greenville, NY 12083).
