He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Maurer and Ellen Maurer (Cleary). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia A. Maurer (Romanello) of Greenport; his sons, Luca Maurer of Ithaca, NY and Bill Maurer of Long Beach, CA; and his siblings, Edward Maurer and Ellen Polansky (Maurer).
