Alger of Greenport, New York, born in Hudson, New York, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Alger and Frieda Alger (Tietsel); his wife Jeanette Alger; his sons, Donald Alger Jr. (Satch) and Kevin Alger; and his siblings, Earl, Gerald, Gloria Jean Alger and Ollie Rappaleye.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jason Alger, Jeffery Alger (Nicole), Kara Alger, Luke Dranginis and Angela Hallenbeck (Steve); his great grandchildren, Ariyona, Jeffery Jr., Johnny, Calvin Jr., Donovin, Kaliyona, Kayliann and Talia; his brothers, Jack Alger and Art Alger (Connie); his daughter-in-law Valerie Alger; and his friend Jerry Moore.
