He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard B., Sr. and Hilda Wilbur Olmstead; and his daughter Amy Kolasa. He is survived by: his children, Mary Olmstead, Steven Olmstead (Colleene), Erica Lacy (Ben) and Jenny Dawson (Tony Clay); his sister Fran Lee; his grandchildren, Cameron, Nicholas, Justin, Devon, Caileigh, Nathan, Jake, Shannon, Trace and Katie; and his son-in-law James Kolasa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to Bluegrass Care Navigators in recognition of the excellent hospice care they provided to Dr. Olmstead.
