We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2025, Mary E. Laing of Greene, New York, born in Cortland, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert; her parents, Norris Smith and Ruth Smith; and her siblings, Dawn Odinek, Lois Herold and Douglas Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Laing (Sharon), Tamela Norman (Mark) and Roger Laing (Shelly); her grandchildren, Robert II (Jessica), John, Shari (Jesse), Abigail (Samuel), Micah (Lianna), Joanna (Joshua), Josiah (Katlyn), Amber, Ashley (Matthew), Alisha and AJ (Valeria); her great grandchildren, Grace, Gabriella, Titus, Alice, Théoden, Jonas, Silas and Trace; her brother Hugh Smith (Donna); and her sister-in-law Carol Smith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Root Funeral Home (23 N Chenango St, Greene, NY 13778).
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Greene Emergency Squad, 30 Birdsall St, Greene, NY 13778.
