She was predeceased by: her parents, Esther Samson and Fred Samson; and her siblings, Jim, Joe, Richard, Gertrude Lupole and Beulah Williams.
She is survived by: her husband Donald F. Shafer; and her children, Sharon Filip (Roman), Don Shafer (Deb), Dolores Poole (Dave), Priscilla VanderBunt (Shawn), Sheila Shafer (Natalio Chediak) and Judy Lance (Rich). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren;14 great grandchildren and by many friends.
