He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Utter Palmer; his parents, Rodman Palmer and Virginia Palmer; and his in-law Carol Utter. He is survived by: his daughter Ashley; his son-in-law Jeffrey Marks; his siblings, Richard, Veronica Palmer, Barbara and Dan Ellsworth; and his in-laws, Linda, Ben, Rick, Jodie, Steve, Donna, Amy, Jim and Kim. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
