He is survived by: his mother Erma Monroe Carlin of Oxford; his wife Teresa Stone Carlin; his children, Robin Clark (Andy) of Kingsport, TN, Tamria Brown (Roger Clarkston) of Marietta, Wendy Custer (Daniel) of Cuyler, Shelley Scoville of Cortland, Shawn Scoville (Tabitha) of Cincinnatus, Scott Carlin (Jessica) of Kirkwood, Tina Mohanty (Jashobanth) of Fort Mill, SC, Misty Summers of Oswego, Becky Brown (Adam) of German and Shanieka Cathcart of Cortland; and his sisters, Debra Carlin (Jere Spathelf) of Oxford, Christine Ross of Oxford and Teresa Flood (Rod) of Oxford. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
